Washable, Re-Usable Facial Masks Clothing

Apr 6, 2020

South Africa has a shortage of face masks as a result of the Corona Virus COVID-19 pandemic. So we are doing our part to answer the call for the common good, by refocusing a large part of our Cut & Sew Department to the production of face masks. We are making these at cost, not for profit. Our “homemade” face masks are based on a publicly available pattern. They are made with the recommended 3 layers to filter out and prevent the spread of viruses. Our surgical masks reach the requirements needed for protection on spreading viruses. They are in the category of South Africa SANS Half mask and quarter mask (SANS50140)

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS The face mask is machine washable, as follows: Use the warmest water setting available. The CDC recommends adding disinfecting Bleach to the wash, which is expected to be effective against COVID-19 based on data for harder-to-kill viruses. Alternatively wash with vinegar, bicarbonate soda, salt, Detol or other disinfectants. They can be machine or air-dried but should be completely dry before reuse. Wash your hands properly after handling the masks.
